Private Coaches

Position Overview

Utah County Lacrosse is seeking experienced and motivated Private Lacrosse Coaches to provide individualized and small-group instruction for youth athletes. Coaches may specialize in girls lacrosse, boys lacrosse, goalie training, small-group sessions, or one-on-one coaching.

This role is ideal for coaches who are passionate about skill development, confidence-building, and growing the game while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.

Coaching Opportunities May Include
  • Girls lacrosse private lessons
  • Boys lacrosse private lessons
  • Goalie-specific training (boys and/or girls)
  • Small-group skill sessions
  • Position-specific or skill-focused training
  • Seasonal clinics or camps

Coaches may choose the types of sessions they wish to offer.

Key Responsibilities

Player Development

  • Plan and lead structured, skill-focused training sessions
  • Provide clear instruction and personalized feedback
  • Help athletes build confidence, fundamentals, and lacrosse IQ
  • Maintain a positive, encouraging learning environment

Professionalism & Communication

  • Communicate clearly with athletes, families, and program staff
  • Be punctual, prepared, and reliable for scheduled sessions
  • Represent Utah County Lacrosse in a professional and positive manner

Program Alignment

  • Follow Utah County Lacrosse coaching philosophies
  • Prioritize athlete development, safety, and sportsmanship
Qualifications
  • Playing and/or coaching experience in lacrosse (high school, club, collegiate, or equivalent)
  • Ability to coach one or more of the following: girls lacrosse, boys lacrosse, goalies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to connect with athletes of varying ages and skill levels
  • Self-motivated, organized, and dependable
  • Current background check (or willingness to complete one)
